Wade Law Group Claims Another Victory on behalf of Client

(San Jose CA) November 13, 2017 – Wade Law Group claimed victory again Monday when San
Benito County Superior Court Judge, Marjorie Laird Carter entered a defense judgment in favor
of the firm’s clients, Dave Vavoulis and Jim Morris and against the Community Foundation for
San Benito County.
This latest case involved a lawsuit that was filed on May 25, 2015 alleging that Mitch Dabo, the
trustee of the Matulich Charitable Trust, along with his former business partnership (consisting
of former business partners Dave Vavoulis, Jim Morris and the late Jack Tyler), misappropriated
money belonging to the trust. The complaint sought over $840,000,00 in damages.
When the complaint was first filed, in addition to seeking monetary damages, the Plaintiff
immediately sought to obtain an order requiring the firm’s client, Dave Vavoulis to turn over
money from real estate property that he was selling at the time the complaint was filed.
However, shortly after being served with the lawsuit, Defendants Morris and Vavoulis retained
the law firm of Wade Law Group.

Wade Law Group Claims Victory on behalf of Client

(Los Angeles, CA) October 6, 2017 – The prominent law firm of Wade Law Group claimed victory Friday when Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge, Donna Fields Goldstein overturned a default judgment that had been entered against Maria Nagy almost one year ago.

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County by Pasquale Zaza against Maria Nagy and her company who was unrepresented by counsel at the time the lawsuit was filed.  Zaza alleged that Nagy was her business partner and had misappropriated business assets.  Zaza was seeking a judgment in the amount of over $2,000,000 against Nagy and claimed that she served Nagy and the company properly.  After the time for Nagy and the company to have filed a response had passed (and nothing had been filed by either), Zaza petitioned the court to enter a default judgment of over $2,000,000 against both Nagy and the company. That Petition was granted on October 17, 2016.

In June 2017, Nagy retained Wade Law Group and the firm immediately filed a motion to set aside the judgment.  The firm argued that Nagy was never served and that Zaza had failed to follow the proper service procedures. The firm also argued that the lawsuit was without merit and that if Nagy and her company had been served properly, they would have responded to the lawsuit and defeated Zaza’s claims.  In response, Zaza’s counsel vigorously opposed the motion.  They argued that proper service procedures had been followed and that the judgment, which had been entered over one year ago, should not be set aside now.

On Friday, October 6, 2017, Judge Goldstein agreed with Wade Law Group and decided to overturn the one-year old default judgment. The firm has now filed a motion to have the entire lawsuit dismissed.  That motion is pending before the court.

When asked how he felt about the victory, Wade stated: “the judge did the right thing.  My client was never made aware of this lawsuit. We intend to get this lawsuit dismissed in its entirety.”

Wade Law Group Wins Another Case on behalf of Client

(San Jose, CA) April 10, 2017The prominent law firm of Wade Law Group claimed victory Friday when Alameda County Superior Court Judge, Julia Spain entered judgment in favor of the firm’s clients.  The firm’s latest case involved an action in which the firm was representing Black Garlic Inc. and its former President, Byong Ha Kim.  Both were sued by Plaintiff, Soo Kil Kim, who was seeking to recover over $83,000 in damages, plus attorney’s fees and costs from the firm’s clients.

The lawsuit was initially filed in Los Angeles County but was moved to Alameda County after Wade Law Group argued that the case had been filed in the wrong county.  After the case was moved, Wade Law Group took the position that the lawsuit was frivolous because both the statute of limitations had run and because the allegations made in the complaint failed to support a correct legal theory of recovery.  Although Plaintiff’s counsel vehemently objected to the firm’s arguments to have the case dismissed, judge Spain agreed with the firm and ultimately granted judgment in favor of the firm’s clients.

When asked how he felt about the victory, Wade stated: I am very happy for our clients.   It’s a horrible feeling being wrongfully sued.  We hope the Plaintiff will learn a valuable lesson from having filed this lawsuit.

Wade Law Group Wins Another Trial on behalf of Client

Wade Law Group Wins Another Trial on behalf of Client – Wade Law Group

(San Jose, CA) Tuesday July 18, 2016 – The prominent law firm of Wade Law Group claimed victory yesterday when Alameda County Superior Court Trial Judge, Dennis Hayashi entered a judgment on behalf of the firm’s client, after a disputed trial.

The firm’s latest victory involved an action in which the firm was representing a female client who wishes to remain anonymous.  The client was sued by her former father-in Law, Jagtar Singh Kahn for breach of contract.  Kahn, claimed that the firm’s client owed him thousands of dollars as a result of her failure to repay loans that he made to her.  Kahn also claimed that he loaned the money to the firm’s client to assist her in paying off over $350,000 in student loan debt.

When the trial began, Wade argued that law suit was bogus, that there never was any loan and that his client never even used the Father-in Law’s money.  Wade also argued that Kahn should be ordered to pay his client’s costs.  After the conclusion of the trial, Judge Hayashi sided with Wade and issued a judgement in favor of the firm’s client and against Kahn. The judgment also stated that Wade’s client would be entitled to recover here costs from Kahn.

When asked how he felt about the results, Wade sated: “I’m happy for our client.  Now she can finally put this horrible lawsuit behind her.  I definitely believe that justice was done.”
